Functions

First you wanna ask yourself what is a and b? Since a function and domain are mentioned, and im assuming you know how to find and merge function domains, find the domain

#

And it has named the startpoint of the domain interval a. This means when you find the domain, for example [1,2] startpoint is 1. So a would be 1. 2 would be endpoint. So b would be 2.

#

And once you have found both startpoint and endpoint, it becomes basic algebra

#

Its essentially asking for the sum of domain startpoint squared and endpoint squared. Plug the numbers and add

I'm still tryna figure it out since it's not monotonously increasing or decreasing tbh

#

So can't just plug in end points of domain to f(x)

#

The inflection point is that x = 10 tho and f'(x) is monotonously decreasing

#

So the max is at x= 10

#

As for the endpoints of the domain, they both actually give equal values but they would be the mininums of the range

#

OK gots the answer now

#

I used calculus tho hm

#

Maybe there's another way to find the max

#

Oh finding the mins and max of f(x)^2 is easier

#

And doesn't require calculus

#

That's all I'll say for now ๐Ÿ™ƒ
