Lemme try help you
x must be either 0 or 7/10
its a quadratic equation.
just not in its original form
Yeah I got that too
What country are you from?,in my country it's like year 10/11 maths so probably grade 9/10
actually it is 6/7 grade. in india if you say.
That's interesting I'm in new Zealand a question I had in my practice test which was level 6 (year 10/11) was X/3+X/4=2,this would get achieve mark
NZ curriculum is very easy
ya ya i get it
Often in new Zealand it's not choice questions like US though
in india. students are pressurized so much that it gets easy for them
Yeah it makes sense, often in new Zealand the top students are Chinese or indian
like if you're not good at math or anything. you're not worth anything.
its like a propoganda or something
In new Zealand for highschool it's level 3,level 4,level 5,level 6
Level 3 will get you developing (not pass)
Level 4 is pass for year 9
Level 5 pass for year 10
Level 6 leans towards year 11 but in year 12 the marking changes to ncea level 1
And we get graded not achieved, developing, achieved, merit , excellence
got it
depends on your interest.
This was the level 6 excellence question in my practice test
i haven't studied much of statistics. so im not so comfortable with it
Yeah,I personally have an interest in maths
What grade would this be in india
bruh. that's a nice question.
this type of question i would get in my 7 grade final exam
like for 3 marks
Theres a Chinese person in my class who came 3 years ago,all he does is play games all day and doesn't study and still gets too marks,I guess it might be because they learn more in china kinda like india
Wow
That's shocking
you put all the c, p and y one side and only the x on one side
that's it
Many in my class can't even factorize simple quadratics
its easy .
Yeah once you know the strategies it's easy
yes yes
It's shocking because many people in new Zealand fail maths even though it's much easier than your guys level
we'll have entrance exams for some instutions.
those exams will have some of the toughest math and science questions
to get into those places. you need to clear the exams with and above average score
Our science exams are easy too
oh .. okay
in how many steps do you solve this?
oh.. nice
Not too many ,like 6 or 7
🫠 one step is enough.
i mean could give direct answer.
but for marks. you need to write down the steps. for sure. 👍
I'd have to square then do other stuff
that n all gets done in one go.
here. everything that matters is. time
so cant write down all the steps tho
It's quite interesting how different the curriculum is
yaa right
An achieved question for year 10 would be this
This is probably grade 4 for you guys
Bruh we can slide into dms
byee
I am from India
I did Trigonometric equations today and then I saw this 🤣
This is like basics of the basics
I am in 11th grade right now
So yeah
Same standard
Ya ya
x cannot be 0 though?
Please don't jump straight to the answer, we'd rather you walk them through the reasoning until they get the answer themselves
Do you still need help? If so, ping me
i would give him an explanation if he responded
Providing the entire reasoning is also not recommended. Instead, please walk them through the entire reasoning with you
(also there's no x in the numerator of the second fraction)
two potential answers because it's a quadratic
Bruh cross multiplication
I wasn't blaming you or anything
even if you somehow do manage to get an x^2 it should cancel out
Yeah look you get x = 0 as a solution
Which is incorrect
Since x = 0 makes the original equation undefined
Yes it does cuz x/0 = not defined
But the eqn is quadratic
But yeah okay I got your point
whatever suits you
you can look at it as a quadratic and check for extraneous solutions, or you can let a = 1/x and solve it that way
Bro what💀
Not very helpful saying it’s easy
It thanks for the others that helped
But*
My fault bro dw I got it thanks
Yea this is grade 9 stuff here in Australia
no problem
