first question, 1 = i^0, so it is a arithmetic series summation
2nd question, in this case, we need to consider the open axis of the function, the value of y when x is equal to 0, and axis of symmetry.
Which variable is related to considering the opening direction of the function?
what is the formula for the axis of symmetry?
What is the summation formula for a series of equal ratios?
tysm for the first question, I ended up answering the 2nd question and i think it came out to be c or d but thanks again for ur time
You are close
there are only two possibilities for an opening in a quadratic function: up or down, this is directly related to the coefficient a of the quadratic term, consider their relationship .
can you close the topic?
for the first one, there one good thing you can remember
i^4n=1
i^4n+1=i
i^4n+2=-1
i^4n+3=-i
where n is any integer
it wont help much in this questing but it can be usefule for others
2nd is option (d)
since its an upward parabola, a>0, and the graph intersects y axis in the possitive y axis, so c>0
if you want to know about b
since -b/2a is positive, and a is positive, b<0
if you want the solution for first one lmk
