I want to learn abstract algebra using Allufis Notes from the underground and am currently working through Vellemans How to prove it. Do i need to learn linear algebra before delving into abstract algebra? If so, what books should i use?

And just to be sure, I'm still going to (US equivalent, students in my year are usually 16/17 years old) high school and we only just finished elementary algebra and got introduced to derivatives. Is there anything i might have missed but should know?
