The general vertex form of an equation is y= a(x-h)^2+k where h is the horizontal shift and k is the vertical shift. The a is stretch/compress. Viewing the graph you don't have to deal with a you just have to focus on h and k

Look at the y=x^2 graph and the graph of part a) and compare. Does the graph move horizontally or vertically?

after the parenthesis?
y=(x+3)^2
and for b since its moving up 1 unit and thats it im a little confused on how to write it
Since h is 0 then look at k. k=1 and x^2 is the form of a quadratic function that gives the U shape
