Since it's arithmetic sequence try to find the common difference here
common difference is the difference of two consecutive terms
d = (a2 - a1) = (a3 - a2) = ......
can you explain? i’m not sure
like how would you apply it here
like would i just subtract 44 from 12?

Example of an arithmetic sequence:
2,4,6,8,10
We notice that there is a pattern. Every time, we add two. Thus, 2 is the common difference.
So the next terms in the sequence are 10+2,10+2+2 and so on.
Why is 2 a common difference? Because the difference between every consecutive term is 2.
2=4-2
2=6-4
2=8-6
....
i get it but it being to the fourth base is what throws me off. does it change anytjing?

someone in a difference server said i needed to convert to base 10 but that makes no sense bc it’ll still be the same numbers

1 x 4^1 + 2 x 4^0 = 4+2=6
And 44sub4 would be:
4 x 4 + 4 x 4^0 = 20
but for the sequence it’s just adding 32?
