So I am thinking of solving this problem, but before I do I wanna know if my knowledge base is enough to solve it. The problem is from the IMO 2001 it is problem 3 so is supposed to be challenging. Did not start yet but hope to.

imo problems typically only require highschool math, barring calculus. as long as you know that, you should be fine

Thats the problem I only have middle school knowledge. Thats why this is a combinatorial problem, they require less knowledge. But still, a lot of them require some stuff from high school which is the reason I am asking.
