if each movie costs $1 and you get 5 movies, then total cost is $5. if each movie costs x dollars and you get 5 movies, then total cost is 5x dollars
so if you get 3 movies and 5 games, and one movie costs x dollars, and one game costs y dollars, then total cost is 3x+5y dollars
it is given that 3x+5y dollars equals $38
and then you have to solve the system of two equations- see organic chem tutor on youtube if you dont know how, very helpful

ok for the first part i got
3x + 5y = 38 (total cost from last month)
6x + 2y = 26 (total cost from this month)
then the second part i got
the rental cost for each movie is $2.25 and the rental cost for each video game is $6.1
idk if it’s right tho
