Pythagorean theorum
are these triangles similar triangles?
Yes, cause they both have a right angle, and angle B
well just use Pythagorean on triangle CBA aabd then use conecpt of similar triangles
The length of DE would be 3, and using the Pythagorean theorem you can find that EB would be equal to 5.
Can’t you just use the Thales theorem ?
sounds like extra work and idk if they have learned it
i havent
my method was to use similar triangles to find DE, leaving us with a famous Pythagorean triple to get EB
Well it’s direct since it gives you DB/CB= DE/AC
question asks for EB tho?
Idk if this is relevant but I kind of see the quadrilateral on the left is made of a rectangle and a right triangle , how did you get DE though?
oh wait nvm I get it now
because the angle of bde and abc id the same
I deleted it but can you say the reason?
thats why
Sry dude
I didn't know
You can just use similarity and find the length of DE and then find EB using Pythagoras theorem
you're good
Me?
Oh kk
Indeed you’re right I read it wrong
