you have several ways to do this
you have the way by elimination( addition or subtraction )
and substitution and graphing method
when doing the elimination method you have to equalise the amount of one of the var. with different (-,+) so one is positive and the other is negative so in this question you have to double the first equation so it becomes -14x -6y = -40
so now we can use the addition method we add the first equation to the second equation so we are deleting the y var. from the equation
so it becomes -11x = -55
so x = 5
and now you can use the value of x to find y var.
by applying it to one of the equations
and right there you all have y var. just walkthrough the process

@torpid star please read #โhow-to-get-help
X=5 y=-5
don't give them the answer right away
does anyone read #โhow-to-get-help ??
Wanna know how to do it .ok
Firsy Eq ร (-2)
-14x-6y=-40 then + 3x+6y=_15 it gives you -11x=-55 x will be 5
Put x in one of the Eq
the answer is X=5, Y=-5
