#What do i do on this question?

i assume besides c) its 2 * P of x
if we divide the two sides by two in the first equation then P(x) is now equal to 0.25
then we replace P(x) with its equivalent formula, such that 3x + 1 = 0.25, then we subtract 1 on both sides such that -0.75 and then we divide by 3 such that x = -0.25
then we can test it 2 * P(-0.25) = 2 * (3 * -0.25 + 1) = 2 * (-0.75 + 1) = 2 * 0.25 = 0.5
so in this case x = -0.25
how did you come to the conclusion that -(1/4) was wrong?
So basically we input the answers into a google form where it checks it, the answer of -1/4 OR -0.25 is wrong, thats whats caught me out
either i am doing something extremely wrong or i am just miss understanding the question, was that the question you got or would you mind sending the original?
