Hello I'm Omar, my 80 year old friend is having a hard time solving this equation and asked me if someone in the internet may know how to solve it. I don't have math knowledge so I'm only trying to help him by posting it.

Thanks in advance if someone can help us

I'm no means an expert but I would put the y's on the LHS and all the X's on the RHS and integrate both sides

#

$\int -y^2 \cdot dy$

#

$\int -y^2 \cdot dy = \int x^2 dx$

$\int -y^2 \cdot dy = \int x^2 dx$

$-1/3\cdot y^3 = 1/3 \cdot x^3

#

$-1/3\cdot y^3 = 1/3 \cdot x^3$

you can't just do that

#

so what

#

you have dy/dx - y^2 = x^2

#

and you're just going to integrate both sides?

#

how?
