Hint: you can manipulate the left-hand side by drawing a right triangle.

So it can be done without a calculator?

#

does this look like the right track>

?

I think I'm assuming that should be a sine-inverse on the outside. If so, it can be done without a calculator.

#

If it really is sin(sec(x)) then I'm not sure.

no

#

that was why i was confused

Can you screen-shot the problem itself? Maybe there's some way around solving for x, or something like that.

#

the teacher just wrote it on the board lmao

#

just that expression

#

and said solve for x

#

we are in apps of integrals

#

so maybe it can be done with integrals?

I think maybe he meant an inverse on either the sine or the sec. It's a pretty standard exercise when one of them is an inverse. Or perhaps you copied it from the board without seeing the inverse sign.

thats directly from her board lol

#

thats what she posted to our classroom

#

thanks for the help though

if you have an epiphany, let me know ๐Ÿ™‚

my friend decided to troll me

#

she had a project

#

where they had to make their own problems

#

so she told me that the problem was from a teacher, but she made it herself

#

sry for the confusion
