How to show that cos√x is not periodic

I might be wrong but as far as i remember when theres a composition of functions the innermost composition usually describes whether the function is periodic or not, and also gives a period of the function

So here for example cos(√x), √x is not periodic so cos(√x) isnt either, but you should fact check this from someone else
