I need help with Linear Programming

So long story short i’m confused with my Teacher’s teachings having me very confused and lost. There might be a lot of explaining for you guys to do in order I can understand this. But luckily i have the notes from today about the lesson

I was confused where to start so i started with the elimination method with

-2(x+y<=8)
2x +y<=10
