X*Y+X^2=Z, Solve for X. How can I do this? Could someone tell me what kind of math this is or point me in the right direction?

This is a quadratic equation. Think about the standard form: ax^2 + bx + c = 0. Reorder this equation so it's in standard from and use the quadratic formula.

Thanks for your help, you got me started on trying to figure this out. I tried turning this into a quadratic equation and used the quadratic formula and it wasn't even close to the answer I needed. Here is the original equation on top for the correct answer then I solved for theta. However, I used a calculator that does it's trigonometric functions in radians, so it either has something to do with that (I didn't convert to degrees correctly) or I solved the equation wrong.

I think it's a trigonometric quadratic inequality. Except the equation is written for degrees and has to be converted to radians. Or balanced correctly. IDK, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
