here's how to input a cube root:
press SHIFT (the leftmost round button on the top), then the square root button.
what you should get is an actual cube-root symbol, i.e. a radical with a 3 sitting in its top-left part
you see this little label just above the square root button, in gold? that's its secondary function. you access these by pressing SHIFT, then the button.
similar to other buttons which have labels on top of them in gold

and yes, the answer is 9. the cube root of 64 is 4, so you have 36/4 = 9

also for future reference it might be a good idea to look up the instruction manual for your make and model of calculator and get it as a PDF or similar!
