How do I solve this problem?
This one is just asking about log properties. Basically they come in sets of 3 each with one correct answer for what you want. I recommend reviewing notes as this is important to have memorized but can offer more help if needed.

No we are assuming x is greater than 0 because otherwise the log function isn't defined. Actually not super relevant to your question it's just a formality.
So for example recall that for the first set of 3, if you have log(xy) = log(x) + log(y) just by log rules. Similar rules apply to the others as well. It's just asking for the rule.

Likewise, log(x/y) = log(x) - log(y)
