Sofor like context im someone whos way too paranoid to leave valuable stuff in the open even if the library space is full of focused students only and probably wouldnt do anything. but no im too paranoid so if i need to go to the bathroom in a study session i put my stuff in my backpack and take it with me to the bathroom and it stays in my bag obviously

in my dream i was studying for a multivari midterm that i was so stressed for because there were many topics i couldnt get and i haven’t eaten or drank in a while (and have been holding going to the bathroom) and the person nearby me was my friend who told me to take a bathroom break and drink water on the way theyll watch my stuff so i say “oh its ok u dont have to watch i bring it with me anyway”
then they looked at me dead in the eye “if u trust me then go” so then i went and came back and my stuff and my friend were gone. i called them but they had me blocked. i started panicking outside the library and then whats when i pass out from the hunger. the hospital said i need to stay for the next few nights because they r worried about my health as they realized i have also been chronically stressing since my parents came in to tell them what theyve also observed in a private room. then i saw my friend who seemed to shook my dads hand like this was all a plan. the dream goes on but ill continue explaining it later if u want :p

in the us we choose a main subject called a major and can also pick a smaller subject called a minor, while in europe students usually study just one subject the whole time without majors or minors. i think the main difference is students take gen ed classes in many subjects before focusing on their major/minor, but in europe students usually start studying only their main subject right away without gen eds

Which I believe is also the case for mathematics and physics majors

Yeah US tends to do 4 year undergrad, and as a result there are more base requirements (so everyone, regardless of major, has to do a bit of humanities etc as part of breadth), then you can pick your major at the very end of your second year in principle as long as you have the prerequisite classes

Depends, im probably doing a master in Quantitative finance which takes 1 year, but most masters in STEM take 2 years since they want you to do some pretty rigorous and inventive research I believe
