Think about properties of p -> q like how when p is false then the entire statement is true.

Another strategy is to just completely make up a guess and see where it fails. This may help you gain some inspiration on how to improve your guess until the truth tables completely match

I don’t think that is true for most people. Sometimes people have rough foundations and fixing that can be harder than just learning from scratch.

I believe though if you use the right resources, have good teachers, and do things smart, almost anyone can get good at an undergraduate level of math.
