then both parts have x^2 in their denominator
so they can just be added on top as a fraction
$3my^2-\frac{4m^2y^2}{x^2}=\frac{3mx^2y^2}{x^2}-\frac{4m^2y^2}{x^2}=\frac{3mx^2y^2-4m^2y^2}{x^2}$
Duh Hello
either way both answers are right
mk
so on that one
u just cancel
on the problem we just did
and do exponets neg or pos
whichever as stated
i can help a bit more if ud like
ill assume it wants you do have it as a singular fractions then
so yes here you are looking for the least common multiple of the denominator
mk
so what is the least common multiple of a, b and 3?
uhh, thats not what least common multiple means
it is just the product of all 3
yep, so what do you need to do to the first one to get the denominator to be 3ab?
uhm
b
if you multiply a by b what do you get?
wait wdym
you want all 3 denominators to be the least common multiple, the one we found to be 3ab
and the first denominator is a
so what do you need to do with a to make it 3ab?
yep
well since we are going to multiply the denom by 3b
then you should know that we need to do the same to the top
wait so
otherwise it is not the same
yep
and ab on the last one
correct
so then
so now once you do that, you will notice the denoms are the same, and now you can simply add the fractions together
9b+ 3a+ab/3ab
yeah
aye lmk if u need to go
got time for 1 more
alr bet
23
ik its the same
but when it asks for exponets
in
like demon
or numerator
what would i do
do i just flip my answer
to make all my exponets
accordingly
feel free to give it a go yourself and just ping me to check your solution
$a(b+c)=ab+ac$
Duh Hello
its just that
but with a more advanced a, b and c
now if i have them all be fractions, we would have $$\frac{a}{b}\left(\frac{c}{d}+\frac{e}{f}\right)=\frac{a}{b}\frac{c}{d}+\frac{a}{b}\frac{e}{f}$$
Duh Hello
notice that its the same thing
just that we have that the variables just happen to be fractions
you are missing some negative signs in the 2nd fraction
yep
correct?
regardless
alr
thats pretty easy
i get the concept of those now
im assuming that was ur last now
yeah think ill call it there
no worries, there are still plenty of others who will help you if you are planning on doing some more maths
oh ok
not sure what you mean by me deleting something
the channel will be up, just will be renamed to something different so that others can use it if that is what you are asking about
so you can just search from:"your discord id" and look back at the conversation if needed
thanks
Yo can i get a new helper on just one last problem its for my test and ill be good from then

ive tried one by one
but i keep getting wrong
you have top and bottom right. btw there's a little trick here to make it ever so slightly easier. Instead of summing all three small rectangles, you could find the area of the 9x10 whole rectangle, then subtract out the 5x4 cut. Same answer, less math.
This is the way to do it, so if getting wrong, probably a small error, could you show your work?

How do I work this out?
We know $dm = \rho dV$ right? @void agate
♡LexQa♡
I'm in highschool so I've no knowledge of that formula.. could you please answer in terms of density = mass / volume?
♡LexQa♡
Yes got it
Okay so
What's next?
What's the formula of a cube's volume
x^3
Yeah
cancelling out the d
They just do 😏
what's the volume of a box
ye
Hmm
Shouldn't it be

ah is this wrong
thought it was only one side oops
let me know guys
(A/2)^3
1/2 x * 1/2 x* 1/2x
ah so
the volume is 1/8 x
So now if rho = m / v
And the mass stays constant
The density is the inverse of the volume

Shouldn’t it be 8 then?
The more compact a cube is the more dense it I’ll become
If it’s 1/8ths then it’ll become times 8
Done ez
Check the answer tho
Yeah its 8
that's the original
Aight hugs
now for the new volume
Ggs*
Go on snow I would humbly like to see your logic as well
Bruh what’s wrong with my autocorrect
typing latex on a phone is pain

thank you

One way to think about it is like this, the x intercept is when x = h. So if h was a positive number, say, 3. Then you'd have y = (x-3)^2. In this case, you see that since h is positive, the intercept will be in the positive x axis. Whereas if you have a negative h, such as -3, you'd have (x - (-3))^2 -> (x+3)^2. Now, since h is negative, the intercept is in the negative axis

how am i supposed to do this?
isnt the answer just (.8)^12?
how am i meant to draw a graph for that
That would be the answer if X = 12, yes.
What if X = 11? X = 6?
Probability distribution of X: A graph that graphs the probability for each possible outcome of X.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...12 trials. so I just do binompdf for each value x can be?
is there anyway binomcdf can be used here? i heard its for if x is multiple values
or is that only if it was asking x is greater/less than or equal to a certain value
Cumulative density function: probability that X is less than or equal to a choice in value
So for example, the CDF evaluated at X = 3 is the probability of 0,1,2 or 3 blue spins.
Your function will find this, or you can manually find that by adding the individual cases together
i see, and so that doesnt apply here since we need to find the individual prop. for each attempt rather than combine them all?
Really, binompdf() with the correct values is the probability density function.
so, i understand how to plug it into a calculator
like for example for x = 0, binompdf (12, .8, 0)
but if I wanted to write it out alternatively
would $_{12}C_0\cdot .8^{12}\cdot .2^0$ work?
Kold
wait no that cant be right cuz thats .068
im trying to figure out how to put it into the formula

why is cos165 not equal to cos135 + cos 30?
Why would it be?
sin 105 = sin 60 + sin 45
Basically, cos() doesn't distribute over +, like most things don't.
Recheck.
sin 105 = sin 60 + sin 45 = sin60cos45 + cos60sin45
according to the formula we were given
sin(105) = sin(60)cos(45) + cos(60)sin(45)
I completely agree with
The following error occured while calculating:
Error: Undefined function sind
so then why doesnt cos 165 = cos135cos30 - sin135sin30
Cosine has its own sum identity
which our teacher told us is cos(x+y) = cosxcosy - sinxsiny
but i did the formula
It does? Why do you think it doesn't?
Make sure your calculator is in degrees
lol it happens to the best of us
Did you figure this out btw?
i did i just switched where the 0 with the .8 and the 12 with the .2 lol ty tho
*dies with heart attack

hi i need help with a numerical anaylisis question i am currently reviewing a sample quiz question on conditional numbers and one of the steps require you to do b -ax which has an equation i don;t quite understand
it shows right here [5 4] - [2 1 1 2] [2.0002 1.0001]
im not sure if its adittion or multiplication
and my goal is understanding and being able to do this by my self obviously

@brave frigate Has your question been resolved?
i have a different question i figured out the top part is related to this equation. i solve the first part which is x(1) but when i do second one i get [3.5 and 5] instead of [1/2 and 1] liked shown
Here is my work

✅
would this look fine? doing this for the first time and just saw an example on the internet, and tried to do it similarly
,w int cosx/(sinx+1)
nicely done. Ah, usually you'd consider the integral of 1/z dz = ln |z| + C, where there's an absolute sign on 'z' but since sin x + 1 ≥ 0, you're fine
also, you should probably add the "+ C" to ln (z) as well.

If two sets A and B have n elements in common, then show that the sets AxB and BxA will have 2^n elements in common.
Please someone send the sol
• Show your work, and if possible, explain where you are stuck.
and are you sure its 2^n?
@chilly raven Has your question been resolved?
if A=B, AxB doesnt even have 2^n elements...
Its n2 i know but this question is asked in prev years in university
I think you have to solve this ques with sets and relation properties
ok

I cannot visualize it. Can I have a rough sketch?
do you know how to draw ellipses?
yeah i can use ggb anyways
ok, in ggb draw the stage as a rectangle whose front left corner is at 0, 0 and put the center of the platform at 9, 7
here's the equation of an ellipse to help you out
this fine?
that major axis is not 12 units
by front edge, do they mean the y axis or x axis?
I have no idea, it's pretty ambiguous lol
well, if it it not 12, then?
oh
wait no nvm
what will it be?
The wordings always confuse me 😓
extends to within 3 ft of the edge

hey
i need help
Same 😔
$y''+6y'+9y=4e^{-x}$
Yousssef
Differential equation weeeeeeee
can someone help me with this one please
do u have any clueee
Yousssef
but i dont know how to find my particular solution
please help
$y''+6y'+9y=4e^{-x}$
Yousssef
undetermined coefficients?
what u mean
could anybody here help me understand how they got $110?
brother get out
how do i approach my particular solution
so i tried with sub
$yp=z(x)\cdot e^{-x}$
Yousssef
then i get $y'p=z'\cdot e^{-x}-z\cdot e^{-x}$
Yousssef
i mean like using the method of undetermined coefficients
Did I do right then?
yes
Oh okay then I understand
Hello is this channel occupied? I really need some help huhuhu
$y”+3y’+2y=(x+1) * e^{-3x}$
Yousssef
For example this problem
My particular solution could be written as $yp=z(x) \cdot e^{-3x}$
Yousssef
Then I pursue from there
Good
but then you might guess like
you really just want something like (Ax + B)
The problem is that we don’t know what we want
well
you have a pretty good idea
if the inhomogeneity is (x+1)e^-3x
then your particular solution isnt gonna be some arbitrary z(x) e^-3x
its only gonna be something like (Ax+B)e^-3x
or maybe (Ax^2 + Bx + C)e^-3x depending on the actual equation
using general z(x) is gonna give you a big mess to calculate
,w x^2 + 3x + 2 = 0
Yeah I know that but I meant for the particularly solution
@paper sage Has your question been resolved?
it's correct
thank you brother
,w y'' + 3y' + 2y = (x+1)e^(-3x)

Here is my problem:
$$ y = \int_{5}^{x^2} sin(t^6) dt $$
Evo
I just cant seem to find anything abt this
Its non-elementary and idk what to do for it
Taylor series approx?
Are you supposed to evaluate the integral? or find y' ?
Evaluate integral
I found stuff for when t is raised to the 2nd power but nothing to the 6th..
,w integrate sin(t^6) from 5 to x^2
hmmm nothing (ヘ・_・)ヘ┳━┳
Ive checked all of them 😔
Someone just sent me it as calc practice
And what exactly did they say
more like troll practice (ヘ・_・)ヘ┳━┳
Then they're messing with you
Lol
They are messing with you
ah I remember the good ol' 1700's when I solved this in kindergarten /s
😔 i just want to understand how the calculator got an answer
None of mine work either
Like wolfram alpha doesnt give anything for me
Well then devote your life to the study of non elementary integrals
💀 guess thats where im headed

Hello why is this wrong?
You can't just "bring down" The 2 when it is raised to the power of the entire logarithm
Oh here it’s ln(n)*ln(n)?
I'd assume so yes
So what can I do with this equation?
😞
$[\log(n)]^2 \neq \log(n^2)$
riemann
,calc log(10)^2
Result:
5.3018981104784
,calc log(100)
Result:
4.6051701859881
Yeah that issue is already settled I think, but that limit sure is fishy
Yes but what do I do about this?

Does anyone know how I can get the biggest difference between these two functions?
Plot |f(x)-g(x)|
am i blind or are those two functions the same
can you regenerate your plot without changing the function
no
it's f(t) = 20 x 0,9920^t
and g(t)= 20 x 0,9879^t
Both wheels are having a beginning speed of 20 km/h and I have to find the biggest difference in speed
you could subtract them and maximize the new function but riemann probs has smarter way
if you know f > g, then you can just maximize f-g
JOKES ON YOU, MY IDEA IS THE SAME AS YOURS
WOW
Goteem, riemann never has a smarter way
,rotate
this is what I wrote down
but I copied it from a friend
it's dutch so i guess you won't understand it
do you know how to find extrema of functions?
Yeah in cas
i don't see a derivative anywhere
,w max 20 * (124/125)^x - 20(0.9879)^x on [0, 1000]
looks right?
I don't know what you just did
100.4 is the time which the max velocity was achieved. not the max delta velocity itself
to get max delta velocity, you plug in t=100.4 to the function f-g
got it
assume it's the same thing as you did in CAS
