e^x is never zero
can't really figure out where sin(x) = cos(x) without a calculator

where did i go wrong in my problem solving?
what should it have been?
you combine the square root of x terms together first

Do you know that cos^2(theta)+sin^2(theta)=1?
You'll basically substitute the stuff you know about sine into this equation and solve for cosine
Since the equation has a square on the cosine you will square root at the end
But recall cos^2(theta)=a tells you cos(theta)=sqrt(a) or cos(theta)=-sqrt(a)
The inequality involving cos(theta) in your problem tells you which one must be true.

proving if its associative
a *b = 2(a +b)
2a + 2b
2^-1 •2a + 2^-1• 2b
a=b
a*b = a + b
is this enough to show it is associative?

lets say you find out that
x = 1 + 2
when writing an answer and working out on a test, can you write it as
x = 1 + 2 = 3
or do you have to do it like
x = 1 + 2 ∴ x = 3
it doesn't matter as long as 1 side has x and the other has 3
i personally would write x=3 somewhere below my working and put a box around it to make sure it's clear that is my final answer

I'm not sure i understand correctly, but you should be able to just calculate the matrix X now, since you know A,B and C 🙂

I would calculate whats inside the parenthesis first. 1. Find B^-1. 2. Calculate (A+B^-1) 3. Find the inverse of the matrix (A+B^-1) 🙂
