can someone explain how these two positions have different evaluations (0.21 vs. 0.24) with stockfish at the same depth (finished analysis) even though they are mathematically equivalent?

so thus by that logic it should play out the same

it depends on how they were programmed to find the best move

one bot's algorithm might heavily penalize having doubled-pawns, while another might prioritize a king safety metric for instance

so does that imply the rules are different for black and white
