no its not in math comps cuz u learn calculus in the later years of high school and many many math comp students haven't learnt it yet, so it will be a disadvantage. thats why the actual problems don't involve advanced topics; even in IMO. though the solutions can use anything, linear algebra, muirhead's theorem, calculus
