For questions from 20-25 optional, try atleast 1-2 questions if you really want to get above average, but if you dont want to risk guessing or your doubting yourself on your calculations you can leave it blank since you secured a solid base from the first and second section, will secure you atleast bronze or silver, maybe gold, depends on the cutoffs and bounderies for each year

This applies for nearly all competitions, UKMT, CEMC, AMC

And do lots of past papers to understand their patterns and questions in what they might ask you
