I accidentally deleted my Multiplayer Map (NEED SERIOUS HELP)

creating a new save file wouldn't delete any save data unless you intentionally overwrite that former save, which will completely replace that data with the new data.

are you certain that the file you found is the world you lost?

I see, I can’t really remember if I overwrite it or not but I went onto the files on my pc and when I click on the saved game it says the 30 days that me and my friend spent on it

I just don’t know how to move that file into the right place so it will allow me to play the game again

But I have something called multiplayer client aswell, and it it’s in there

there’s a few saved game files in there to be honest, but when I open my sons of the forest and click multiplayer, there’s no games there

there the other saved maps that I have had before in multiplayer

But every time I delete them and only leave the first file in there, I load game and when I check back the files there there again

ok let me try to be very specific on the situation so u understand as best as possible

@woeful fiber Im pretty new to the game so the first thing i done was worked on a multiplayer map with my friends for a few weeks, this map got pretty boring so i made a new multiplayer map and once i saved that one, my old one was gone from here

i watched many youtube videos and i saw that there is a chance you could restore your saved game from the File explorer of Sons of The forest

so i went there and i luckily i found the map

i went inside the Multiplayer file and there it was, my 30 days saved map

so i dont understand why it isnt showing here..

i dont know if this is the problem but everytime i click on a folder like these for example

it shows this, this could be the problem but i dont know

so anyway, i thought maybe if i delete all the other saved files inside multiplayer and just keep the 30 days one, it might go back to normal and show my game here

so after permanently deleting the other files and loading up my game, it makes no difference, and when i go back to the files they just restore again, its like i never even deleted them in the first place they just come back

if you have a solution to fixing this please help, thank you

thats the thing, i cant remember if i deleted it or not, all i remember was making a new multiplayer map and saving it then next minute the 30 days map is gone

In the screenshot i can see the files are compressed, did you extract them into the Multiplayer folder?

Yes, the compressed ones are backups and will not be read by the game

you need to decompress them

the 0172594319 folder should be in the multiplayer folder, it should not be folder inside folder

While extracting you selected create new folder and then extract, this created another folder.
As the game only looks one step down it wont find it

Move this folder here into the multiplayer folder

then you can delete the empty remaining folder
