i live on the island on the lake by the resedental bunker so winter is dangerous for me (Plus on not good at the game yet and am bearly set up)

Also the only way i can make the season different then winter is using commands and when i sleep it goes back to winter

also its not a game file thing acording to steam

i just sat in a box with structure damage off and sped time up for ~20 days and it was still winter

What are your game settings? Did you select realistic and set the starting season to winter?
Did you change the game settings at some point?

just the normal preset with building damage off, and no i didn't chage any game settings other than building damage

Sounds weird. You can give SOTF edit a try, just open it up load the affected save and check if everything is set to default.

Might be worth a try
