yea ive encountered a flip where its more profit to remove the gemstones, sell them to bz and then sell it on ah. Ive also encountered flips wehre its more profit to sell the item with gemstones

well the target value for snipes (and median snipes) always includes the gemstone value, so you can remove them and sell for less or sell the item as is. For the other finders gemstone value is not separated
