Hello there. I am on my second day learning to code. The program I am thinking about signing up for, fes, has this training video before the interview and for some reason what they are telling me to do isn't working. Building your own AI chat bot. When I follow the steps to save the file as an .html file and open it through a browser my computer isn't recognizing it as active html rather just text. Any ideas? It may be easier to hop on a call if you're cool with that

It a walk through. They have given everything. It's pretty cool tbh and I'm addicted already. I just can't get it to open or save properly and fear my computer may not be up to par

Tbh I say checkout “Programming with Mosh"

he has long videos that run you through the basics explaining everything plus between them small projects to practice as well

there is no point trying to be walked through how to write an AI chat bot on your second day of coding. You simply do not have enough prior knowledge to learn anything from this experience.

It's nothing they have asked to open. You go to note pad, type in text and save it as html. Then open that with a browser to make it interactive and build the bot

BillyBobby is probably right, but even if we assume this is a totally legitimate course, I repeat: you do not have enough prior knowledge to do anything that involves an AI chat bot in any sense.

All I need to figure out RN is why the text file I have created is not opening in an execution type function rather than just opening in text

There is a path to learning programming and getting good, but those paths start with: learn to program first
