am try to create a health daming system but i dont know how to repeat it again i know you need a for loop but i dont if you would mkae it a function or something else heres the code:

def damage(current_health):
new_health = current_health - 40
return new_health

health = 100

health = damage(health)

print(health )

You can use a while-loop with condition health >= 0, then the loop will terminate after player health reaches 0 or below.

Also, a small change that in the function damage you can just return health - damage no need to create a new variable to store the new health

That change isnt necessary but since you dont need a new variable its better not to do that
