the later names dont even make sense

Personally i too use things like

tipAmount or smth cuz its easier for me to do shift a instead of underscore lol

but sometimes yes for long words snake case is desirable

especially for huge opensource repos

using underscore for compound words instead of joining them together like

instead of tipamount you use tip_amount
