Remember to:
- Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
- Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
- Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.
:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.
welp i did a discord bot that way
things changed however and probably my knoledge is outdated
im just here to cheer on you ๐
What's your goal? To learn Python, or to make a bot you're going to use?
Tips:
- Don't use random tutorials. Only use the examples and guides from the people who made the discord bot library you are using.
- Use slash commands.
- Learn what the 3 privileged intents are, and if you actually need them (IE don't enable them for no reason)
Discord.py is the most popular library for discord bots, but there're also others, such as Pycord & probably many more.
-# *for python, not necessarily for every language
i wanted to make my own for my own server cuz i am learning but ithought it would be fun
how comfortable are you with python?
