I want to use the library called "toml" not tomllib, but i cant find any documentation. upon searching "python toml library" i get flooded with unrelated results like "how to set up a pip package". Where do I get the documentation, and is tomllib better?

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

!pypi toml -- I assume by "toml" you mean this?

If so, well, the docs are in the README for that one.

#

tomllib is okay if the only thing you need to do is read TOML files and it's convenient if you're using a Python version that has it.

#

If you need to write TOML files, you can look into tomli/tomli-w and tomlkit. The latter preserves comments if you need to do that.
