Remember to:
- Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
- Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
- Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.
:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.
It is just a black screen? Nothing loaded?
Oh. Press enter maybe?
Maybe try closing and re opening again then
Honestly not sure
Ok - any luck?
i have an app called wsl but it won't open

am i meant to be using windows powersheel ise?
Some containers dont give any login prompt when they start, if you can type anything into the box then try to enter the username and then the password.
maybe i should try and run a bash
You can try that and see what happens. In powershell
try the command?
i did that
maybe i'm not rebooting right?
right imma try a bash
what's a linux command i can test
echo hi
is that not command prompt
this is new
can you still get to this screen?
you have to enable a couple windows features
okay nvm seems like that's done
also weird discord to get wsl help from fyi
we get plenty of non-python specific help requests
if it's within the realm of reasonably easy to assist with it's fine
alr cool
theres a chance you might need to enable virtualization in your bios but dont do that yet
actually, try launching ubuntu now
(it'll take a while first launch, and then prompt you to set a password)
the password won't show up as you type, it's hidden, it'll ask for you to re-type to make sure you have it right
oh
okay i'll just do it later
(i've just deleted everything so imma have to reinstall it)
just to be clear, there will be other stuff indicative of prompting you for a password though
refer to this to make sure you're set for everything/if you run into any issues https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install
