Hi. I've been working on plans for a 2D animation software of my own for some time, and I was wondering what a good starting point would be, besides downloading Python and a software like PyCharm to get started with. I've looked at things like Tkinter and PyGame, but I just want to double-check to see if there were any experts that could make recommendations for any other essentials I might need.

In short, I just want to know what tools I need before I begin my work. What my best options are. If you are experienced with Python, I'll take any suggestions you have. Thanks!

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.
