🔒 i am using vscode as my editor/ide and i cant run my code directly in the terminal

i can run it using the python extensions "run python file" and it works but in the termial is i write python and then the file app.py it gives this error

look at the command it pastes into the terminal and maybe try to inspect it

instead of writing python app.py, write py -m app.py

if none of these work, try checking your system environment variables if it has the path to the interpretter

I also think it's a path problem or the system may have more than one version of python installed as the error says python term is not recognised.

The system may recognise python3
it may run python3 app.py if it's not a path problem

you haven't told us which OS you're using, if it's windows (as said above) just use py(and the -m flag shouldn't be used when just executing scripts, that's for when invoking things like pip) instead of python on the command line

Create a venv inside your projects folder -> Activate the venv -> run your project

Or you can ensure that your inside the actual projects folder
