  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.

The first boot may take few minutes , you should be patient

#

Use the latest stable version, 64 bit is totally fine for rpi zero 2 w

i think the issue might be my power supply, i just bought the official one a couple minutes ago, since i have tested it on different adaptors around my house

#

the light starts of flashing a little bit

#

and then it just stays on

#

does not flicker at all

tropic pier
#

the flickering of light is normal and expected

violet lodge
#

its like a broken light flicker

#

its very quick

#

not like the pattern flicker

#

if that makes sense

tropic pier
#

And the light staying solid on after a while is also expected

#

It may even flicker randomly later on

This is not what I am looking for. I want the screenshot of the changes YOU have made. In the raspberry pi flasher tool preferably

#

A weak power supply CAN be a culprit, but unless you have a very bad wall adapter that can't deliver even 10 watts , I doubt that's the problem

#

Like wall adapters are a solid power source for the pi zero

#

I use them all the time

This is helpful. As long as you have entered the correct ssid and password, it should connect to your wifi within minutes. Keep in mind it can only connect to 2.4ghz band and not the 5ghz band so make sure you enter correct ssid according to that. Also make sure to check the hidden ssid field if you have hidden your said by default through your router settings

#

Ssh is the next step. We first need to figure out why it won't connect to wifi at all

#

I would reformat the sd card , flash it again , let the pi boot from that sd card for few minutes and see if it connects

#

this one

tropic pier
#

Should be good

#

I use 64 bit os for my zero 2 w

violet lodge
#

its just verifying now

#

with the ssid

#

for example

#

when i login to the wifi

#

on the settings on my phone

#

it has the name of the wifi

#

that is the ssid ?

tropic pier
#

If it's 5ghz it won't work

#

One way to check for sure is to login to your router and check whether both bands are active or not

#

"where to check" depends on the exact model of your router

#

In my tp link router it's called 2.4ghz WLAN and 5ghz WLAN

violet lodge
#

i have a tp link router aswell

#

one says 5g at the end

#

the other says nothing

#

they are both different ssids

#

and not the one im connected to

#

this is actually so confusing

#

You need the ssid that is NOT 5ghz
