🔒 Getting the most recent file in a directory

Hi! I'm trying to get the most recent file in a directory. I have a solution cooked up already that works, I just want to know if my approach follows best practice.

from pathlib import Path
path: Path = Path("./file")
latest_file = max(path.glob("st2*"), key=lambda dir: dir.stat().st_mtime)

I would say yes, it's a good approach

because you're utilizing the built in max func

i mean, yea it's pretty good. like the only gripe I would change is calling the lambda argument dir because that's already a builtin function. but it's not a problem here

I'll swap dir to another variable name

also your toy example names are a little confusing? the context means that you have a folder... called file... and you're looking through the folder named file for files that are dirs

Yeah I wrote this toy example without thinking much about the var names lol

In the actual code it's named appropriately now
