Can someone explain RelativeLayout in kivy to me? I'm reading the documentation and it is melting my brain, I don't understand the concept

What I'm getting so far is that RelativeLayout will maintain the position and size of the child widget relative to the parent, but is that not what every Layout does? When you embed a layout in another, the coordinates change relative to the parent but the internal structure remains intact. Size and pos hint are available with every layout too, what's different about RelativeLayout?
