Remember to:
- Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
- Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
- Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.
:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.
Can you show the full screen
So that is the Python REPL. If you type something and go to the next full bit of code, then it will try to execute it and display the results. If you type print("hi") there and press enter, then you should see it pop up as "hi".
Where did you type the print("hi")?
Did you save your file?
From what I recall (and I'm trying to read idle's source to see if I'm right) that's just weird way idle runs files, it shows file outputs in context of repl - the "restart"+filename is when file was run, and before and after is normal repl... If I'm correct, then it just means output of OP's file was empty. So either file wasn't saved or wrong file was run.
