Python help channel opened

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

The Kindling projects page on Ned Batchelder's website contains a list of projects and ideas programmers can tackle to build their skills and knowledge.

it's important that you understand how python works in general. you don't need to know every language feature (there are a lot), but you shouldn't need to look up a tutorial to remember how to define a function, either.

once you feel solid with that (it might take a few weeks), I would start by writing code that explores different datasets. learn how to manipulate CSVs or traverse JSON files.
