Hello, I'm using a library called algorand-python for smart contract development and for some reason this morning VS Code stopped recognizing types for structures.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Python, VS Code, deleting Pycache and any VS code extensions data, and it's not still picking up the type

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

Ok so apparently

#

Pyright updated to 1.1.398 and is causing a lot of type issues

#

I downgraded Pylance (which includes Pyright) to the previous version before today and its working fine now

#

Loads of github bug reports for pyright for type inference stuff

And many have issues.

Yeah, just glad I'm not alone. For the moment I'll just use the previous Pyright version
