I'm trying to estimate swing metrics using pose estimation on baseball swing data from a side view such as the one shown. I've tried using MediaPipe, but it keeps picking up other objects that move more such as the catcher and umpire. Is there a way to get MediaPipe to focus on the hitter aside from cropping the image? The issue with cropping is the video data has left handed and right handed hitters (different cameras), so I would need that context. Should I use a model that uses pose estimation on multiple objects, and what would be recommended?
