Hey everyone,
I’m a master's student in finance working on my thesis, and I need to scrape Reddit data for two specific dates to analyze sentiment regarding electric vehicles. I’m using Python (barely know the basics) and have tried implementing Vader for sentiment analysis, but my code isn’t working.
I have no clue what’s going wrong—I've attached my code below (which is a combination of mine and what I could generate from AI). It keeps telling me that “no relevant posts were found” and doesn’t change even if I post it in a subreddit where there would 100% be some posts for ex: r/electricvehicles). If anyone could take a look and point me in the right direction, I’d be extremely grateful. Any advice is appreciated. You’d literally be helping me pass!

I cant run it right now, to test anything, but from going to https://api.pushshift.io/reddit/search/submission/ I get {"detail":"Not authenticated"}. Are you passing an API token and just have it removed in your paste?

In which case it should return a 403 which based off what you sent would print out Error: 403
