On ubuntu, does anyone know how i can force beautifulsoup4 to install machine wide? When I'm trying to install it's ssying I must do it in a venv. I'm hoping there's some override to force install machine wide?

it's possible to force it, the error should actually explain how to do it.
But it's really not recommended.

The error says use pipx which creates the venv by itself

pipx is for installing applications written in Python.

either way, if it's downloading packages every time that bothers you, use uv. It caches them.

I've replaced my entire venv/pip/pipx stack with uv
