I got exactly the same problem that you got 😐

I notice basicsr hasn't been touched in two years, so it's probably abandonware.

Either find a better library, or fix it.

it looks like there has been somewhat recent changes on their github

simple wyvern I got exactly the same problem that you got 😐

Used opencv and numpy in place of basicSR it works tho but longer lines of Code😩
