what is the cleanest way to get a formatted bytestring

from some stackoverflows i see using % is the way but i wanna know if theres a better method than using that

Maybe just encode it before you use it?

encoded_string = some_byte_string.encode()
f'scanf {idx+1} {encoded_string}\n'

A bit longer but perfectly readable imo
