Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

#

what should happen is

#

only the ai has the delay

stray viper
#

do you have a way to check if the player or the ai is playing

crude oar
#

Yes

stray viper
#

of you do you can use and if statement for that

crude oar
#

i called the ai

#

X

stray viper
#
if ai_is_playing == True:
  time.sleep(1)```
crude oar
#

oh wait

#

for one of my variable. i put

#

current_turn = 0

#

which is the players

#

variable

#

so they start first

#

so if 0 = X

#

That doesnt make sense

#

ye

#

imma make that isplaying variable

#

wait

#

ty

#

thanks for spotting

stray viper
#

if the player start at turn 0 then the ai start at turn 1 right?

#

you can use if current_turn % 2 == 1: to check if the ai is playing

crude oar
#

WAIT

#

i fixed it

#

all i did was

#

instead of ==

#

i put

#

!=

#

but now the computer doesnt pkY

#

play

stray viper
#

send you code

crude oar
#

im on phone rn

#

wait

crude oar
#

its fine

#

i figured it out

eager kiln
#

generally it's not a good idea to use time.sleep in pygame, as it blocks the entire game
