#๐Ÿ”’ Dnspython timeouts?

Hi everyone, I'm having trouble debugging why this is happening, but when I try to resolve a txt record and use rdata.strings the first time I run the following code it shows all the strings present in the TXT record but all subsequent runs result in printing of only the first string.

Been pulling my hair over this lol

import dns.resolver

answers = dns.resolver.resolve('fbldkim7._domainkey.s7.y.mc.salesforce.com', 'TXT')

for rdata in answers:
    print(rdata.strings) # Shows the individual strings in the TXT record

After some time it goes back to printing all strings once before breaking again. Is this some sort of timeout or caching being done?

  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.
