Hey everyone,
I've got a problem with arranging my widgets in a QGridLayout. The widget is awidget in a big mainwindow. I'm trying to have them aligned to each other but it just won't work. The row that seems to be the problem is row 8 of the layout. When I try to stretch the QLineEdit to span 2 columns, the grid suddenly doesn't use the whole window width anymore. I've pasted my relevant code here (https://paste.pythondiscord.com/NCDQ). In this version, the QLineEdit is too short. When I try lengthening it using .addWidget(8, 1, 1, 2) and add the last widget with .addWidget(8, 3), the explained problem occurs. I'll add screenshots of the problem.

Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.
